About this course
The First Aid Response refresher course is a two day course aimed at those who have previously completed the three day first aid response course and hold a valid PHECC certificate.
Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council – First Aid Response is designed to meet the first aid and basic life support (BLS) requirements that a person known as “First Aid Responder” may encounter.
In addition to CFR skills, the First Aid Responder possesses defined skills in the further management of a patient who has become suddenly ill or injured in the pre-hospital environment until the arrival of emergency medical services

Entry Criteria
Entry to this course is available to those who have successfully completed the 3 day First Aid Response and who’s certificate is not expired more than 30 days. Evidence of previous certification is required prior to course commencement. This course is delivered in English as such an acceptable level of English to assimilate and relay the information in the course is required. For further information see our English Language policy

Certification
On successful completion of training learners will receive a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council- First Aid Response Certificate which is valid for 2 years.

Our First Aid Response Instructors
Troy has been a consultant with DX2 Training Solutions since 2011, he currently holds a BBS in emergency services and a Dip in emergency medical technology from Northeastern university in the USA giving him Paramedic status here in Ireland. Troy is a multi disciplined instructor delivering multiple courses across our suite, his instructor qualifications are visible on his Linkedin profile. Troy has a keen interest in running and cycling and is also a avid golfer.
Dermot is a qualified advanced paramedic with a diploma in Emergency medical technology from Northeastern University and an higher diploma in Emergency medical technology from UCD. Along with Dermot’s many years of clinical practice he also holds a Cardiac First Responder Advanced Instructor certificate and a diploma in continuing education and training from NUIM.
Dan is a qualified paramedic with a diploma in Emergency medical technology from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a graduate diploma in emergency medical science from UCD. Along with Dan’s many years of clinical practice he also holds a Cardiac First Responder Advanced Instructor certificate and a diploma in continuing education and training from NUIM.
Paul has been a consultant with DX2 Training Solutions since 2010, he currently holds a Dip in emergency medical technology from Northeastern university in the USA giving him Paramedic status here in Ireland. Paul is a multi disciplined instructor delivering multiple courses across our suite. Paul spends most of his time running, he has successfully completed the Marathon Des Sables in 2014 dubbed the toughest race on earth as well as numerous one hundred mile races here in Ireland.
