About this course
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) is accepted internationally as the standard training course for prehospital trauma care. It’s used as a start-of-the-art continuing education course and as an essential curriculum in many paramedic, EMT and first-responder training programs. ITLS combines classroom learning and hands-on skill stations. Our course is managed and delivered by a team of Advanced Paramedics and Tutors with experience in emergency care in the prehospital arena, led by PHECC Facilitator Derek Fox.
ITLS It is designed for providers who are first on scene to evaluate and stabilise the trauma patient. The courses provide complete training in the skills needed for rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilisation and transportation of trauma patients.
The ITLS Advanced course builds on current knowledge, emphasising evaluation steps and sequences as well as techniques for resuscitating and packaging patients. ITLS Advanced is appropriate for EMTs, paramedics, trauma nurses, doctors, offshore medics, military medics and other advanced emergency personnel. -
